What I love about the Echo is that it is the perfect size for what I need it to do. I can easily fit my computer, two paper notepads, a shit-ton of pens, two books, a knife, a multitool, ipod+headphones, my semi-bulky Olympus Epl-1, and a rain jacket.
Here is an example of what it looks like with some stuff packed. It looks smaller than I was expecting, but it really is a functional size. I’m actually kind of liking the fact that it is smaller than I was expecting. It fits all I need and I can stow it with no problems.
